About the Movie Unsung Hero
Unsung Hero is based on the true story of David Smallbone and his family. After his successful music company collapses, David moves his family from Australia to the United States in search of a better future. With seven children and a strong love for music, David and his pregnant wife Helen face many challenges.
Helen’s faith becomes a guiding light for the family, inspiring everyone to hold onto their beliefs despite hardships. As they rebuild their lives, they discover the musical talents of their children. These children grow up to become some of the most successful artists in Inspirational Music history, including the five-time GRAMMY Award®-winning band for KING + COUNTRY and singer Rebecca St. James.
This story highlights themes of faith, perseverance, and the power of family support. It shows how hope and determination can lead to extraordinary achievements.
